Organizers from Tampa Bay Estuary Program were on hand to register the arriving volunteers--and to hand out T-shirts and to provide a fantastic free lunch for all!

Just over the sand dunes behind the check-in station, Fort De Soto park staff have prepared the beach area with the water truck. Damp sand makes it much easier to plant the sea oats properly.

Hugh Fagen, a Trades/Field Services Supervisor with Fort De Soto Park, distributes plants randomly, just the way nature does it.
